Kip: Caffeine Courier · Legal

Privacy Policy.

DRIFTMOTH receives no data from Kip: Caffeine Courier. The game has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics of ours, and your progress stays on your device. On Android, Google’s billing code inside the app talks to Google Play so you can buy the full game, and sends Google some technical diagnostics. That part is explained below.

Who we are

Kip: Caffeine Courier is a game developed and published by DRIFTMOTH LLC, a Florida limited liability company at 18117 Biscayne Blvd Suite #4874, Miami, FL 33160, USA. This policy covers the game on every platform where it is available.

What the game stores, and where

To remember your progress, the game saves its own data on your device: your progress, your best runs and your settings (like sound and haptics). On Android, it also keeps a small private file that lists which in-app products you own, so the game stays unlocked when you’re offline. All of this stays on your device. We never receive it and can’t see it.

Information we collect

DRIFTMOTH LLC collects nothing. We receive no personal information, no gameplay data and no payment details from the game. The game’s own code makes no network connections; on Android it is blocked from the internet. The game has no ads, no tracking, and no analytics or crash reporting of ours. It never asks for your name, email, location, contacts or photos.

The one exception is on Android: Google’s billing library sends technical diagnostics straight to Google, as described below. That data goes to Google, not to us.

Purchases

On Android: Stages 1–4 are free. Stages 5–12 are a one-time in-app purchase, “Full Game”, sold through Google Play. Google takes the payment under the Google Play terms and Google’s privacy policy. We never see your card details, your Google account or who you are. The game asks Google Play, on your device, which products your account owns, and remembers the answer on your device.

Purchases belong to your Google Play account. If you reinstall the game or move to a new phone, use Settings → Restore purchases while signed in to the same account.

On iPhone and iPad: the game currently has no purchases. If that changes, purchases will go through Apple’s App Store under Apple’s privacy policy, and this page will be updated first.

Google Play’s billing library (Android only)

To sell anything through Google Play, an Android app has to include Google’s Play Billing Library. That library adds the Internet permission to the app and talks to Google Play to show the price, take the payment and check what you own.

The library also sends technical diagnostics directly to Google over an encrypted connection. They describe the billing connection, such as whether a request to Google Play (a price check or a purchase, for example) worked or failed. They can include technical details such as your device model, Android version, language and country, mobile carrier and connection type. They don’t include your game progress, and when we checked the library’s code we found nothing that reads an advertising ID or another device identifier.

Google receives these diagnostics and uses them under its own privacy policy; Google says it uses this logging to improve the billing library and to help with errors. The app can’t turn this off, because it is part of Google Play billing. DRIFTMOTH LLC receives none of it and can’t see it.

Device backups

If you back up your device (iCloud or a computer backup on iPhone and iPad, Google backup on Android), the operating system may include the game’s progress in that backup, which Apple or Google manage under your own account. The Android file that lists your purchases is left out of backups on purpose; your purchases come back from Google Play when you restore them. DRIFTMOTH LLC has no access to any of these backups; you control them in your device settings.

Permissions

On Android, the app has three permissions, and Google’s billing library adds all three: Google Play billing, Internet access and network state. The game itself never uses the internet. On every platform, the game requests no access to your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone. Haptic feedback needs no data, and you can turn it off in the game’s settings.

Children

DRIFTMOTH LLC collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. On Android, Google’s billing diagnostics described above are the same for every player.

Keeping and deleting data

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Your progress is on your device: to delete it, uninstall the game or clear the game’s storage in your device settings. Purchases stay with your Google Play account and can be restored at any time. Google’s diagnostics are kept and deleted by Google under its privacy policy.

Security

We keep your data safe mainly by not having it: nothing from the game reaches DRIFTMOTH. On your device, the game’s data sits in the app’s private storage, which other apps can’t read. The game’s own code can’t reach the internet. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play, and we never see card details.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
